Why does my Activation Email show a different region or city than my actual location?

The region and city displayed in your activation email are based on the IP address registered to your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Some ISPs mask customer IP addresses and route them through a centralized IP address, which may be registered in a different region. For example, even if you are in one state, your IP address might be associated with a different state or city.

The information shown is based on a GeoIP lookup and is intended for general reference. It may not always be perfectly accurate.
