Q. Customer wishes to connect a sabre with WiFi to their WiFi network using device authentication. How is this achieved ?
A. Sabre WiFi supports password protected WiFi networks AND 802.1x authentication which uses a device digital certificate.
The device digital certificate is provided by the customers IT department. This certificate is a file generally with a file extension .P12.
The certificate is made available in the admin installer function under WiFi configuration.
One certificate can be used on multiple Sabre’s or one certificate per device, this is a policy determined by the IT department.
